Volunteer

We need our Valuable Volunteers for all of our races.

The Say No To Drugs Race is successful because of our dedicated Volunteers. You can help! On race say, you can register Runners, distribute t-shirts, or be a course guide, hand out Goodie Bags, serve pancakes, meet the stars and more. All Volunteers Must be 14 years of age or older.

Volunteers are an integral part in making our events successful. Volunteers make a difference. Volunteers get a chance to view a race from a different perspective. It's exciting and fun! Most important, you will feel a sense of accomplishment in doing something good.

All volunteers will receive a Say No To Drugs Race t-shirt and pass to the Expo Area events.

Volunteer Jobs Available on Race Day

Parking Direction

Positioned near and at the entry to designated parking areas to direct athletes, attendees and other volunteers to correct parking areas, registration area and event plaza.

Event Day Registration

Welcome athletes, collect registration information, distribute race packets, race t-shirts and goodie bags on race day.

Course Worker

Assist with the set-up and breakdown of course by removal of cones, signs, course water tables and containers of water.

Food & Beverage Tables

Cut bananas, oranges and bagels as well as set up beverage tables and set up tables for pancake breakfast. Additionally, hand out to runners and walkers before and after they run/walk.

Pancake Breakfast (Holiday Classic only)

Assist with cooking and serving pancakes in the Pancake Breakfast area. Please note that you must be 18 or order to man a griddle.

Water Stations Along the Course

Fill cups of water at water stations along course. Maintain filled water cups for runners/walkers as needed. Clean up post race, throwing all empty water cups into trash receptacles.

Course Direction

Positioned at various key points along the course, volunteers will point or holds signs to keep runners/walkers on the proper course.

Kiddie Fun Run Course Volunteers

Positioned along the Kiddie Fun Run course, volunteers will ensure all participants follow and stay on course.

Finish Line

Assist with sorting of athletes as they finish the run/walk, keeping order in the finish chutes.

Awards Booth

Assist with sorting and distributing age group awards to top three finishers in each age group.

Stage

Assist with handling out award medals and prizes for top finishers of 10K/5K competitive races. Additionally assist with handing out raffle prizes to winners.

Breakdown and Clean-up

All volunteers are asked to assist with the breakdown and clean-up of the course, start & finish line area and event plaza area.
